POV AS A PERSONAL BRANDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I’m going to start this post with a POV (point of view): not every personal branding photoshoot involves fancy suits, black sunglasses, champagne and high heels.
If you spend time on social media, you’ll see a lot of personal branding images that look the same—perfectly styled women in sleek suits, posed to fit a trend. And while that works for some founders, it doesn’t reflect the reality for most women I work with.
Most of us are moms. Professionals. Business owners building something meaningful while managing real life. Meet Jackie, the founder of FinderBinder After her premature twins struggled with feeding and picky eating. and working with nutritionists, OTs, PTs, and feeding therapists, she took the best of what she learned and turned it into a simple, fun, pressure-free way to help kids explore food with confidence, build healthy eating habits, and make mealtimes easier for the whole family.

Every client has a different story and a different purpose. As a personal branding photographer, my job isn’t to force everyone into the same look—it’s to create images that support their story and how they want to show up in the world.

This session was with a mompreneur whose business exists because of her kids. She wanted her personal branding photos to reflect both who she is as a founder and the reason behind her work.
We planned the shoot in two parts. First, we focused on her as the face of the brand—clean, modern headshots that feel confident, professional, and approachable. Images she can use across her website and professional platforms.

Then we brought in her three kids. That part of the session was real life. A little chaotic. Full of movement and laughter. The kids helped demonstrate how FinderBinder works and why the business exists in the first place. They weren’t props—they were the purpose.
This is what intentional personal branding photography looks like when it’s done with meaning. It doesn’t have to be trendy or overly polished. It just needs to be honest, cohesive, and aligned with your story.

If you’ve been struggling to imagine personal branding photos that truly feel like you, let’s talk. As a personal branding photographer in Boston, I help women create images that reflect their real lives, real values, and real businesses.
